Our fav magpie friend (Silly by name but really smart) has developed a habit of settling on her tummy on the ground for quicker easier?  grubbing in the dirt for worms etc; I’d never seen such an approach before but near the lake BG y’day saw a black swan doing the same; with the long neck it’s obviously easier for her to get her mouth to the source that way.
