July Gang-gang and August field trips

Our field trips programme is back.  Participants will need to register in advance, providing their name and phone number to the leader who will then compile the list on the registration form.  This will avoid the need for each person to sign on at the beginning of the field trip and thus avoid each person then needing to sanitise their hands.  It will also mean that, should a participant test positive to Covid-19 after the trip, COG will be able to provide details to allow contact tracing. 

Many thanks to Sandra Henderson and John Brannan for volunteering to lead field trips in July.  Now I am thinking of August.  Is there a volunteer to lead a trip on the weekend of 29/30 August (you choose the day) to a location where social distancing is possible, so a place with a single narrow track would not be feasible?  Remember you do not need to be an experienced trip leader or an experienced birder, just someone who has a favourite birding spot in Canberra that they would like to share.

Also, I am still seeking articles for July Gang-gang.  The deadline is next Wed 24 June.
