I have been seeing huge numbers of corellas at Wanniassa Hills Primary School over the last 2 weeks, with a smattering of SCC.  They are enjoying the roots. There has even been a pair (or more than one pair) examining a hollow near the PreSchool car park.  Trimming the hole as well.

At 10:30 this morning a large (about 100) raucous flock of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos swooped low over the Holt Paying Fields followed by some 30 Little Corellas also very vocal. In my experience it’s unusual to see more than two or three of the latter in the local area. I suspect a raptor caused the cacatuidae stampede but, despite scanning the sky, I didn’t see one.
