Sure a raptor can cause a cacatuidae stampede but they do it anyway without that. I have flocks of these two species of similar magnitude around my home almost daily (or about 50 ScC). Based largely around the hundreds of Corellas around Tuggeranong.

At 10:30 this morning a large (about 100) raucous flock of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos swooped low over the Holt Paying Fields followed by some 30 Little Corellas also very vocal. In my experience it’s unusual to see more than two or three of the latter in the local area. I suspect a raptor caused the cacatuidae stampede but, despite scanning the sky, I didn’t see one.
