G’day Jonathan,

I live in North Curtin and was pretty confident I’d occasionally heard a Blue-faced Honeyeater flying over my house since about the beginning of March, before your sighting provided corroboration and confirmation.  On Good Friday I finally saw the bird, flying overhead roughly in the direction of the Cotter Road/Tuggeranong Parkway junction.  Then on Wednesday April 22nd, I heard and saw two birds flying overhead.  So worth keeping an eye out for.

Best regards,

Brian

I spotted a blue-faced honeyeater in Curtin yesterday (Saturday 4 April), just west of Carruthers Street, where the long ‘green tongue’ crosses it.
