I only walk infrequently along the Curtin bike track and of course the actual paddocks area can only be accessed by horse owners.

However I’d say the the whole green corridor along Yarralumla Creek is valuable and I’d be sad to see the area built over.

The recent gleeful announcement that the ACT Government’s plans for redeveloping “West Basin” have been progressed by the National Capital Authority’s permission for the change is despicable at a time when the community is being forced into survival mode by the Covid19 outbreak and will have minimal capacity to hold governments to account.

A friend reported seeing > 10 trillers in the Naas valley yesterday, including fledged young.

There were twenty or so feeding this morning along the Curtin Bike Track between Curtin and Yarralumla Creek (where the Horse Paddocks are on the other side of the Creek) around 7 this morning. I have never seen them there before.
