This area near Cooma is seldom visited by COG but I believe there was a COG camp many years ago on this property, when a COG member was working there. Landholder Simon has assured me the fires did not impact their extensive property, which has a variety of
habitats. There are also other spots nearby which I've discovered while doing Waterwatch platypus surveys - it's a great area for Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters, and a couple of years ago I had to pull up outside the local tip to allow a family of Spotted Quail-thrush
to wander across the road.
I will be doing a recce in a couple of weeks, so have no information at this stage about the camp site, but if you're interested in coming on the camping trip please let me know so I can keep you informed. It will be bush camping, and Numeralla is a tiny
village with no shops/petrol.
