I don’t know if there’s a collective noun for Willie Wagtails but thought “waggle” might do.

At 9 o’clock this smoky morning on a remarkably large suburban block in Macgregor, I saw 12 Willie Wagtails hunting on a 60 square metre area of short-mown dry grass. Each bird kept about one metre from its neighbours while hopping about and making low vertical forays.
