Like my report below, from 8 November.

I was on a bus from Woden to city about 11:50 a.m. today. I saw 1 Whiskered Tern fly over the bus, over Lake BG (near the CC memorial jet).

2 Glossy Ibis at the back of the billabongs near the car yard.

Whiskered Tern patrolling over the sewerage farm.

I'm told the 2 Pied Stilt and a *possible* Red-capped Plover was present at Shoveler Pool.

I saw a lone Whiskered tern on my lunch time walk today.  It was patrolling a stretch up and down between Commonwealth Avenue Bridge and the Segway cafe on the National Library side of the Lake - going up and back, up and back, hunting along the way.  A pleasure watching it dive.  I first noticed it hanging around near the skein of Little black cormorants, also fishing, on the Lake just in front of the National Library.
