I saw a lone Whiskered tern on my lunch time walk today. It was patrolling a stretch up and down between Commonwealth Avenue Bridge and the Segway cafe
on the National Library side of the Lake - going up and back, up and back, hunting along the way. A pleasure watching it dive. I first noticed it hanging around near the skein of Little black cormorants, also fishing, on the Lake just in front of the National
Library.
