Correction: is it really trying to say that it takes four (not for) days

Fine.  There is one odd thing in the article "Incubating the eggs is a full time job for about 30 days, and then it can take about four days for the eggs to hatch."

I don’t get that. How is the incubation period separate from the time to hatch? Or is it really trying to say that it takes for days for the eggs to hatch from the time the shell is pipped to when the chick finally gets out. That would be weird.

About the chicks calling pre hatching, surely a likely benefit it so that the chicks all hatch together.

Philip
