Probably one of the Sharp-tailed Sandpipers. About 6 there early this morning, then just a couple. Flying around rather nervously.

Yes the ID you have (Greenshank to be simple) is by far the most likely and fitting, just going by the photos. But I would not be sure. Others will probably go
out to see it (not likely me), especially with the COG blitz this weekend.
Actually in my opinion, comments on your observations as to why you identified it as that would be useful. It is curious these days that there is more of a trend
for people to just rely on “here is a photo what is it”…. The description side is falling away. Then again I don’t have a camera suitable for bird photos.

Just wondering if anyone can help with identifying this bird seen late yesterday afternoon on 23 October across Kelly’s Swamp near the nest box.
Taken from Cygnus hide, apologies for the terrible images the sun was coming straight into the hide at the time and the distance also was a problem.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.
