Very typical behaviour & location for them and right time for arrival.

I watched a pair of Dollarbirds down at Tharwa Sandwash on Sunday afternoon (October 20 2019). They were launching from a dead tree, making short flights in a circle of about 10 metres, and landing on the same tree, sometimes having caught an insect, sometimes not.
