I have not been today (I might do) but yesterday (I arrived just before the rain), worth mentioning: I saw 7 Hoary-headed Grebes in one group in the middle & 1 Aust Grebe but there may have been several more. Actually the pied stilt, 1 great egret, white-winged trillers and Rufous Whistlers in song to north of pond, magpie larks, 35+ grey teal, 3 hardheads (more like about 30), black duck, a surprising large number of Darters…….. Have been there since at least Monday.

Common sandpiper still at Isabella Pond, 10.00 this morning.

 

Also present: 1 pied stilt, 1 great egret, at least 3 white-winged trillers in song to north of pond, magpie larks nesting, 35+ grey teal, 3 hardheads, pair of black duck with 10 ducklings.
