Subject: [canberrabirds] Bowerbird observation

 

I was interested to watch a gorgeously green Bowerbird picking off the top end of a blade of fresh green weed and ‘chewing’ with the front of its bill, then swallowing the small pieces. It consumed almost all of the young weed. Have others observed this behaviour with weeds?
