Yesterday morning i went to Red Hill Nature Reserve via the Glasgow street entrance at Hughes.I have not been here before but i was impressed with the area and variety of birds and will be returning.

Anyway, not long into my walk i came across a Sulphur-crested cleaning out a hollow bringing out timber from the hollow and droping it to the ground.

Further on i spotted a male Gang Gang and looked around the tree to see a female reaching into the hollow however i could not see if she was cleaning it out or adding to the hollow. This went on for 5 minutes and then she went into the hollow and was out of sight for about a minute. When she emerged she flew over to the male and they started to allopreen. After 5 minutes of this the male then went to the hollow and started to work on it and he also went into the hollow and stayed in there for about a minute. A Sulphur-crested then arived and started to work on another hollow in the same branch and the Gang Gangs flew to the next tree and again started to allopreen, at this point i left them to continue in privacy.
