I estimated 200 Pacific Swift and 50 White-throated Needletail to be hawking over a 2 km length of the NW fence line of Narrabundah Hill last evening. Birds were circling rapidly around the hill region and towards the lower slopes of Mount Stromlo. A few birds were still visible by 7.30pm.  White-throated Needletail tended to move frequently over our heads.
