Hi All,

I saw this bird at Shoalhaven Heads Inlet yesterday. It was feeding alone on the sand flats. It was a long distance away and at the time I assumed it was a Red-capped Plover. On looking at the photos I'm now not so sure.

Lesser Sand-Plover came to mind, but I've only seen them once and I'm generally very inexperienced with coastal birds.

Any help would be appreciated.

A highlight of the short trip was a Beach Stone-Curlew in the same area. (I'll add some photos to Flickr when I edit them).

Cheers
Julie
