Yesterday evening at dusk (8.30pm) there were three Boobooks flying off (hawking?) powerlines and trees at the end of our garden and in  neighbouring gardens (Ainslie). It was too dark and too far away to see clearly, but it appeared that one was being brought food by one of the others.

 

20-40 metres above them there was a  steady stream of Flying Foxes heading out from Commonwealth Park.
