I observed a pair of Black Kites on Spring Range Road Wallaroo ( just before the Carrington Road turnoff ) Saturday before last .

They circled me as I chased down a badly injured Juvenile Wedgetail . They were in close proximity of the bird and hastening /waiting for its demise. I couldn't bring myself to leave things for nature to take it’s course as was the land owner.

No top beak . I don’t know what that means but not a good sign. Went to Hall vet.

I mentioned to Christine 2 Spotted Harriers, apparently flying together as a pair this morning. I have certainly seen them on other occasions.  However today my distant and fuzzy view (top left) was mistaken.  It turned out to be a falcon (male peregrine, I think) engaged in harrier-harrying. The probable hobby Christine saw later was indeed such, making a nuisance of itself with an A Magpie.
