Morning all,
I have just received a text message from two of by birding colleagues,
Gil and Marion Pfitzner, who have reported at 0920 hours, two waves in
each of approximately 200 Pacific Swifts over Kelly's Swamp
(Jerrabombera Wetlands).
At 1000 hrs a loose group of 20 - 30 Pacific Swifts flew over my house
in Kaleen. I have been keeping a vigil all morning, ducking in and out
of the house to check for them. They were flying approximately ENE at
about 30 metres. Conditions were warm and overcast over the house but
they came in from a large area of cloudless blue sky to the SSW. Th e
temperature is about 27 degrees.
