I don't think they are allowed to send dinky-di Aussies to an offshore detention centre, although with this current government anything could happen!! Hopefully this bird didn't go around sticking one "finger" in the air. I would think that the bird originated from the Jerra wetlands or reeds along the Molonglo River. Interesting that another (?)juvenile turned up in Queanbeyan as well recently.
