As well as the birds there is a nice little patch of Saltbush Blue butterfly habitat each side of the path between the last hide and the site office along the path parallel with Dairy Rd. The butterflies are out and about now. They have been
just there for years. Mowing of the site probably encourages them, as the tall coarse grass that would otherwise grow would swamp them out.
They can be seen at https://vimeo.com/308729181
Not to be confused with Common grass blue - similar size, and everywhere at the moment. https://vimeo.com/307822002 or Fringed heath blue https://vimeo.com/306157619
