The blitz weekend is nearly here and the weather is looking reasonably ok. Most of the listed sites have been adopted, though inevitably a few folk have had to pull out. So for the as-yet uncommitted, you might like to consider some of the following: the northern grasslands (Mullangari etc); Mt Rogers; Woodstock NR (the portion W of the river); the inlets around Lake Burley Griffin; Rob Roy NR; Woods Reserve; Square Rock; Corin Dam – or anywhere that takes your fancy. If you are heading south on the Sunday, please be aware that the Fitz’s Challenge bike event will be in full swing so take care on the roads. After your surveys, please submit your data promptly – if you use eBird, use the share option, sharing with “COG Blitz”; if you use hard copy, bring it to the November COG meeting or mail it to COG, PO Box 301, Civic Square 2608. Have a safe and enjoyable blitzing weekend! b
