Driving up Widgiewa Rd this afternoon a male White-winged Triller flew across the road. The first in Carwoola since January 2018.
Judging by the restless behaviour of the brooding bird the Tawny Frogmouth eggs began to hatch on 21 October. This continued on the 22nd. Yesterday I found broken eggshell on the ground.
Today I have seen two chicks. Here is a digi-scoped image with the chicks beak at the tip of the arrow.
