I was looking forward to this talk but couldn’t make it to the meeting. I wonder if there is any support for COG recording its talks, even just audio, so a) we have a record,
b) for members to refer to to refresh their memories or catch details they missed, c) for members to catch up on a talk they didn’t get to? PS d) perhaps some speakers would appreciate a copy.
It wouldn’t have to be complex, just a phone placed on the lectern might be enough, if speakers could be trained to keep close. Even better and perhaps actually easier would
be for COG to own a video camera that looks toward speaker and screen and is switched on at the beginning of each meeting. Making recordings available only to members should obviate any IP concerns.
Has this been canvassed before?
