Ash, Had a look at your birds this morning, they were quite visible and the trees they were in are a lot lower than at the NGA, light not great though. Talked to a few locals who were wondering why the 'paperazzi' had moved in.  They now know they have a special rare parrot visiting them.  Good some good footage, much better than the previous effort (will work on it to share shortly).  Soundtrack not so soothing, not the Carrillion but the 'lesser spotted reversing Tonka toy' - a sound very familiar to those of us who live in the north of Canberra....  Noisy miners not happy with the new small green birds to bully.

I saw a Group in Watson on Negus crescent this morning (and yesterday afternoon). There were quite high numbers there and quite a few flowering trees, so if you can't find the birds at the National Gallery if might be worth checking out there.

Great stuff, David!

Has anyone seen the Swifts at the NGA today? I wonder if they may have moved on.

I saw them lunchtime yesterday (without camera) but could not see them when I was there (with camera) between about 8.15 and 8.30 this morning.

Once again thanks to the initial spotters/ reporters, a bird I've been wanting to film for sometime.  Not easy given their liking for the high canopy.  Feeding and sitting still.... filmed on 24 and 25 Sept 2018

For those who like Tasmanian migratory parrots, there is also my film of Orange-bellied Parrots at https://vimeo.com/265944289 for those who have not seen it.

Enjoy
