Ah thank you Geoffrey. I bow to your greater erudition here. I was kind of in the ballpark. Who named the other birds after Stanley? Was it Emin.?

No doubt the genus name Eminia and Stanley's expedition to rescue Emin Pasha in the darkest Congo 1886-1890.  'You've got here in the nick of time, Henry, and while you're here I'd like you to take a look at this interesting little grey-capped bird I've managed to get hold of.  Do you suppose it could be new to science?'
