By my reckoning spring HAS sprung – which means the 14th blitz can’t be far behind. Join us over the weekend of 27-28 October counting birds in one of your favourite spots in the ACT. A few locations have already
been claimed so check out the blitz info on our website
www.canberrabirds.org.au/observing-birds/cog-bird-blitz/ and let me know where you’d like to survey. As is often the case, a few regular blitzers will be away this year so we’d really appreciate the participation of as many of you as possible so that we
can really cover the ACT well. Why not try somewhere new and different this year? All types of surveys are fine – from a token 20-minutes to “cover” a site to as long as you like. And we can handle all kinds of records – eBird, Birdata, paper (pick up a form
from the COG meeting or download one from the website) or even an email or phone call. With the inland drought, who knows what exciting species might turn up! Barbara Allan, blitz coordinator
