Hello data munchers!

Is there anyone out there who might give some assistance to a beginner trying to get his head around FileMaker Pro?

After working with Microsoft Access in a quite amateurish way since the mid-nineties, I have switched from Windows to Apple.  I had been trying to use Access on my iMac and eventually I got the message that the system would no longer run Access.  In addition the Access was very slow and clunky.

So I am in the process of switching to FileMaker Pro.  It appears to be working well on my iMac, but after so many years of Access, I am finding it a bit tricky to get my head around the new system. I can’t yet tell which bits are like Access and which bits are different.

Hence the appeal for help.  I would deeply appreciate someone explaining the basics to me and showing me the essential knowledge I need to know to enable me to extract data such as a bird list for Shepherds Lookout.

So any help, such as a couple of tutorials, and some continuing support until I find my feet, would  be much appreciated.

Many thanks and warm regards

Paul
