Six months ago I sent out this ditty.

 

Tawny Frogmouth flying by

Sent me a message from the sky

As I wipe it from my eye

Thank god that cows don’t fly

 

 

Today I was at Pine Island and was watching a Wedge-tailed Eagle flying above. It appeared to spread it legs, then defecated and produced quite a lot of white spray, that would have spread over several metres by the time it got to ground (or tree) level. Not something I have seen before from a flying eagle.
