Yes, Mariko – not to mention having to remember that slow backswing.
This needs some investigating. I have seen 2 v large flocks (hundreds) in south Canberra this season, but there does not seem to be the same high proportion
of corellas in street feeding aggregations as in previous years. Are the large corella flocks pre- or post- roosting gatherings, or birds based in rural areas that occasionally enter the suburbs?

Subject: [canberrabirds] Large flock or Little Corellas
Today at about 4.20 pm there was a huge flock of Little Corellas flying over the Federal Golf Course. I have never seen such a large flock so it is difficult to estimate but it looked over hundreds. The place was reverberating with their
calls. They perched on a tall tree for a while but they started to circle around. I could hear some cockies but the majority was Little Corellas. Unfortunately there were also a lot of kangaroos in the golf course and my silly dog went mad. I was desperately
trying to control her and I could not take a photo or have a better look.
