Played golf at Yarralumla yesterday and in the 4 hours I wandered around the 18 holes I was constantly hearing and seeing a flock of 7 Yellow-tailed Black-cockatoos circling around in the tree tops. I don't think there were any more than the 7 seen. It was such a delight to be entertained for the morning by those fabulous birds.

Five landed in pines at corner of Southern Cross Drive & Beaurepaire Crescent, Holt at 14:30 Hours today leaving a couple of minutes later as some 25 Galahs swept into the trees.

Small groups of Straw-necked Ibis  have been visiting the Holt Oval most every day for the past week or so. A few days ago I counted a flock of 15.
