At 14:30 Hours on Friday, 27 April, I counted 37 Red-rumped Parrots feeding on the Holt Playing Fields. I’d just copied down the number when a pedestrian disturbed another flock of some 15 that had been feeding 25 metres away which I hadn’t noticed. These latter birds flew into a nearby cottonwood where they were difficult to locate among the foliage and impossible to count.
