I finally got rid of the monkey on my back.  After 15 years I finally saw a Spotted Quail-thrush.  Driving down from Tallaganda Forest towards Rossi yesterday afternoon, one trotted across the road in front of the car before taking to the air briefly and plunging into a patch of sedge on the roadside never to be seen again.  Both Rhonda and I got a good look including the white tips of the fanned tail in flight. No doubt I will now see them everywhere.

Regards

Lindsay
