I don’t know that I have ever met one, though obviously a well known cage bird (described as a good mimic of human voices). From that book and another. Only
thing not showing is the bit of red on the wrist (but could easily be hidden).

This bird, apparently about the size of a corella, circled above the NRL refs at training session in Lidcombe this morning, and then landed on a shoulder. My son, one of the NRL referees, has asked what it
is. I've flipped quickly through Jow Forshaw's "Parrots of the World" and it seems most like a Yellow-crowned Amazon. Anyone know?? Obviously an escapee - it was taken to the nearest RSPCA premises.
