Yes, Adam.  In those morning scenes ‘congregation’ is perhaps a better word than ‘aggregation’.  However my own purpose is usually the early morning dog walk. Bird observation, casual photography, koel-listening, dog-walking  -  it’s a full life here in the suburbs.

I saw half a dozen happily in a tree atop which was a Nankeen Kestral one morning. The lorikeets didn’t seem troubled, even though the other birds didn’t appreciate the raptor’s presence.

The Rainbow Lorrikeets that are now appearing locally in increasing numbers will presumably create a similar problem, as they have also done around Perth.
