Thanks for that. But Collared Sparrowhawks and Square-tailed Kites are a quite different coupling from Collared Sparrowhawk & Brown Goshawk. Even though Square-tailed Kites are a major predator of birds’ nests.

In Deniliquin a couple of weeks ago I saw Collared Sparrowhawks and Square-tailed Kites nesting less than 100m apart, in forest patch in the town area. Both pairs, I'm told, re-using their nests from last year, so they must get on with each other.

As in the message that Alison already forwarded. The map that Alison posted yesterday shows nearby nesting of Collared Sparrowhawk & Brown Goshawk at ANBG. Could be less than 100 metres apart. I think that is very surprising.  Do they tolerate each other? Why would they? I wonder whether anyone has seen any interactions between them. I may well be able to go there this week.
