I was on Wark's Road today and reflecting that it's good that Wonga Pigeons
have become almost common in that area in the last few years. I was listening
to one calling (which of course sounds like wark, wark, wark) and I had a
thought perhaps Wark's Road was named after this sound, rather than someone
called Wark.
