Hi. This morning we had 5 species of cuckoo in and around our garden in
Wamboin.

Starting at 5:00 am, as usual, the Brush Cuckoo started up with his
incessant calling - he'll often keep this up all day but thankfully
doesn't call during the night! Mostly the plaintive descending call, but
occasionally mixing it up with the manic rising call and the policeman's
whistle shrill.

Shortly afterwards a Pallid Cuckoo started calling, followed by a
distant Koel and then a Shining Bronze-cuckoo.

Then the final species gave its raucous call whilst flying overhead - a
Channel-billed Cuckoo, not many records of this one for us over the years.
