The best moment of a sunny morning at Callum Brae today (at least, sunny after the fog cleared and before some cloud came in) was a group of 10 Flame Robin just up from ‘Nursery Corner’. They were feeding on the ground with Yellow-rumped Thornbills, and there were Weebill, Buff-rumped Thornbills and a pair of Scarlet Robins at that same spot too. The bright apricot colouring of the three adult male Flame Robins in the group was unmissable.
