It is perhaps a bit dramatic' to say that the wetlands in the Forde area and surrounding area are 'over'.   There is lots of good wetland habitat not affected by this, plus additional wetlands are being built in Throsby as we speak.  There is lots more in Harrison and Franklin that could offer surprises.

Hi everyone, it seems Forde wetlands days are numbered with the markers going up this week along Horse Park Drive between Gundaroo Drive and Mulligans Flat Road. From what I can see the wetland alongside Horse Park is right in the path. This is the same wetland which has been visited by Painted Snipe and Red-necked Avocet in the past to name a few. A shame.
