Chris Davey and I have drafted a COG letter to the ACT Government regarding this, which we will send off after the COG Committee meeting
this week. It is also a site with large number of Latham’s Snipe recorded on a Snipe survey last year.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Forde wetland & Horse Park Drive duplication
Hi everyone, it seems Forde wetlands days are numbered with the markers going up this week along Horse Park Drive between Gundaroo Drive and Mulligans Flat Road. From what I can see the wetland alongside Horse Park is right in the path.
This is the same wetland which has been visited by Painted Snipe and Red-necked Avocet in the past to name a few. A shame.
