You might have heard Neil Hermes is producing a new book on Canberra birds – or rather, slightly more broadly, ‘high country birds’.  The increased scope calls for a few extra species to be included.  For this project we are still looking for  publishable photos of the below species.

No payment is available, but contributors will be acknowledged and receive a copy of the book.  If you think you can help, photos can be sent to me or to Neil  Please let me know if you have questions about the specific publishing requirements.

Wompoo Fruit Dove,       Ptilinopus magnificus,

Spotted Quail-thrush,      Cinclosoma punctatum, (Need male)

Little Buttonquail,             Turnix velox,

Superb Fruit Dove,           Ptilinopus superbus,

Oriental Cuckoo,              Cuculus optatus,

White-throated Nightjar,   Eurostopodus mystacalis,

Eastern Ground Parrot,    Pezoporus wallicus,

King Quail,                        Excalfactoria chinensis,

Red-chested Buttonquail, Turnix pyrrhothorax,

Greater Sooty Owl,           Tyto tenebricosa,

Geoffrey
