On 25 April, Shorty put up some images of the GCG having a disagreement with a Dusky Moorhen. Today, the GCG ended up beak to beak with a coot but they just looked at each other for a while and then got on with what they were doing while staying in close proximity. I have seen coots getting out of the GCG’s way but this one looked as though it was smitten (yes an anthropomorphic comment but check out the coot’s eyes) with the GCG.
