Thanks Jean, that augurs well for Sunday’s walk at Narrabundah Hill, since your place in Duffy is on the same general flyway.  Forecast seems similar too, perhaps a bit more cloud.
 
Did my monthly survey of the W fence line this morning.  It was pretty quiet but I did get good views of a Western Gerygone and a female Scarlet Robin near last October’s nest site, also a White-throated Treecreeper where we sometimes see them.
 
Will be going to the N fence line tomorrow a bit later in the morning to check out the Honeyeater migration.

In warm clear sunshine it pays to have lunch alfresco. At 12.45 this flock of approximately 200 passed over my GBS in loose formation – taking only a few minutes. After this small groups of 5 to 20 came in dribs and drabs. Lunch over I needed to withdraw indoors.
