I think that what Isobel refers to is male Muscovy ducks and probably some
other ducks, like Mallards, are rather aggressive (by our standards I guess)
in holding the female or whoever they think they are mating with, in that
manner or something that looks like that. I think what Elizabeth described is
just aggression and probably not connected to mating.
