Many thanks to all those who responded to my request for information on books concerning the birds of Japan. I now have a few clues so if my wife and I do decide to go to Japan next year I will know what to try and chase up.

 

Thanks also to those who replied a week or so ago to the locations of various species that I was after to show a Canadian visitor – I managed to find most of those I was after.
