Temperate Australia has a special diversity of brown butterflies which are best seen in the ranges about us.  All  these guys and more are just endemic to SE Australa.  These insects are at their best now. Bird filming is a bit slow locally at the moment!  First two filmed at Thredbo , Banks' Brown in Tidbinbilla

I have to thank fellow List participant John Bundock for making me aware of where the Banks' Brown could be found locally.

All my local butterfly video can also be found at https://vimeopro.com/thegreeneye/butterflies-of-australia-and-new-zealand

Enjoy
