Here is the call made when two males moved to about a body length from each other. They sat there for over 20 minutes with the bird on the left of the picture making a number of quiet calls before both adopted aggressive poses and then the one on the right attacked. The picture is of the birds with mouths open, feathers on the head raised and tails fanned just before the attack.
